Yoga Teacher Training in Canada

Yoga is a fast growing business in Canada. There are about 1.4 million Canadians practicing yoga. Generally women do yoga more than men in Canada.

About 2.1 million Canadians, or 1 in 12 non-practitioners say they intend to try yoga within the next 12 months PMB (Print Measurement Bureau) as quoted by Yoga in Toronto

The Canadian Fitness Industry Trends Survey (recently conducted by the National Fitness Leadership Alliance among their members) revealed that yoga continues to be a trend. The places yoga is practiced in are becoming more unique over time.

About one in five (21%) Canadians indicate that they practice yoga. Significantly younger Canadians aged 18-34 (35%) practice yoga compared to older generations. In Quebec, fewer people practice yoga (16%), compared to the rest of Canada.

Also the survey mentioned that in Canada a recent article titled “15 Instagram-Worthy Spots to Practice Yoga in Canada” mentioned other unique yoga classes which may take place beside waterfalls, in botanical gardens, or even on stand-up paddleboards!

Also, pet lovers might enjoy partaking in yoga classes with different animals, which may include goats, cats, or puppies and various other animals. The places where people practice yoga are as diverse as the people who practice it.

Many Canadians prefer to practice yoga at home with an app or yoga youtube video session.  Other Canadians like to join the class at a community recreation centre or specialized boutique studios to learn yoga and have fun too.
